VIDEO: Suspected 9-Year-Old Killer Shawna Forde a Minuteman With Ties to FAIR

ShawnaShawna Forde, the alleged ringleader and one of three suspects arrested in a deadly home invasion in Arizona on Friday, heads up a border vigilante group known as the Minuteman American Defense (MAD). Forde is suspected of having plotted and executed the kiilling of a nine-year-old girl named Brisenia Flores in order to raise money for her vigilante group. The Huffington Post reports:

PHOENIX — Two of three people arrested in a southern Arizona home invasion that left a little girl and her father dead had connections to a Washington state anti-illegal immigration group that conducts border watch activities in Arizona.

Jason Eugene Bush, 34, Shawna Forde, 41, and Albert Robert Gaxiola, 42, have been charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and other charges, said Sheriff Clarence Dupnik of Pima County, Ariz.

Since Forde's Minuteman connections became clear on Friday, a new video of Forde speaking on behalf of the quasi-mainstream organization, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), has surfaced. In it, Forde addresses a 2006 townhall in Yakima, Washington, as a Minuteman and FAIR activist. Watch it:

 

Blogger Dave Bennion had this to say about FAIR today:

Immigration restrictionist John Tanton founded the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) in 1979.  Since then, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, FAIR has had documented ties to white supremacy groups and accepted money from the eugenicist Pioneer Fund.  FAIR representatives are nonetheless routinely quoted by mainstream newspapers on immigration stories and welcomed onto cable news shows.

While it's clear that FAIR is not the "mainstream" group it claims to be, it is unclear whether Forde was a paid employee, volunteer representative, or some other kind of spokesperson for the organization. It is clear, however, that Members of congress and mainstream reporters should think twice before citing the organization FAIR.

As one conservative blog points out in a post about the murder entitled, "What Right Wing Extremists?," Forde's case is yet another example of anti-immigration and nativist rhetoric taken to the extreme, as predicted by a recent DHS report.

That DHS report on right wing extremism keeps getting more relevant. Here’s the website of Minutemen American Defense, complete with rants about “subhuman Mexicans.”

Apparently, the motivation for the crime was to get money and drugs to fund their anti-immigration group:

Two of the three people arrested in connection with the May 30 murders of an Arivaca man and his daughter headed up a splinter Minuteman group, and were looking for drugs and money to fund their efforts to keep illegal immigrants and drug runners out of the country, sheriff’s officials said.

Lies are being spread by the pro-amnesty pro-illegal migration groups. The three suspected murderers are associated with the Jim Gilchrist group and their own group and none other. FAIR and similar legitimate anti-amnesty anti-illegal migration groups banned these three people from their groups.

This is truly ridiculous, I don’t understand how peoples can perform such task for money. How cruel these peoples are?

Waxing, people like these three that are accused and charged with these crimes are not thinking. it seems one of the two men is latino as well, and I have read reports in the Arizona newspapers that he might be associated with a drug cartel. and they are thinking the little girls dad was a drug cartel member as well.

That being said, the lady actually was never associated with FAIR. The lady in question was removed from the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps years ago by its founder Chris Simcox. Gilchrist kicked her out of his organization and after she lost a lawsuit with him, she started her own border watch group.  This is the same lady who back in February claimed to have been raped in her home and had a family member shot, though nothing ever came of this. While I dont condone the actions that took place in the arizona desert, i also dont condone the actions that take place in the next paragraph

This group america’s voice, apparently has forgotten that THREE AMERICAN children have been killed in the last month. In Brewster, NY an 8 year old and her mother were killed by a drunk driver who was speeding and missed the turn at the intersection and this the two as they were coming out of a dance studio. Two others were killed in Nebraska, less than 10 days apart. the first 4 year old was killed when a driver ran a red light and hit the car she was in with her parents. The second 4 year old was raped and molested by a man who came in through the bedroom window, did these crimes and walked out the front door of the house as the parents slept… Americas Voice did not send out letters on these three…. KNOW WHY???  because the criminals who did these acts on these three all happen to be illegal aliens, undocumented workers. The same people that america’s voice wants to see be rewarded for breaking US immigration laws.

Hell, in the houston paper today, an illegal set his girlfriend on fire. and another one, who was seperated from his wife at the time picked up his two kids from school shot them and then his own self.

That’s right, come December 27th, Paris Hilton may not be the only one parading around in pink underwear on prime time. (Arpaio has made a practice of dressing his inmates in pink underwear and forcing them to sleep in tents in the Arizona desert, among other questionable tactics)

An infamous media hog, Sheriff Arpaio has developed a “tough spot” for immigrants. According to a recent NPR story:

Arpaio finds creative ways to arrest illegal immigrants — using state law intended on human smuggling to charge them with smuggling themselves — something no one else in the state has attempted.

This latest FOX “reality"TV series will serve to give an even louder megaphone to a public official known for hisanti-immigrant antics and racial profiling of Latinos. Smile! You’reUnder Arrest will celebrate the slimy depths Sheriff Joe has been willing to sink to in Maricopa County, Arizona.

So, I was initially pleased to see them reporting on the attack/murder, but I became infuriated that, while they acknowledged the sadness of his passing.
